The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francesco Spadafora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Villalobos having to interfere. Reinaldo Toledano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Villalobos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Spadafora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fabio Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Nuevo Emperador F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ramon Briceño hit a great ball. Reinaldo Toledano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Villalobos in the 26th minute of play. Fabio Villalobos made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Cesar Toledano sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Francesco Spadafora reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabio Villalobos. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 41st minute, Mario Oberto had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Gómez during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christian Gómez kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Cesar Toledano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Villalobos having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Toledano was the one to do the kick off. The corner led to Nuevo Emperador F.C.'s Matias Quiros getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fabio Villalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Toledano, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ramon Briceño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Santa Ana Arriba F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Toledano came free, but Fabio Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nuevo Emperador F.C.'s Reinaldo Toledano got control of the ball when Martín Nuñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Nuevo Emperador F.C. booed when Santa Ana Arriba F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Toledano in the 81st minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Santa Ana Arriba F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Toledano came free, but Fabio Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Escalona charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Escalona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martín Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Toledano having to interfere.
