Juan Quirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Peren having to interfere. In the 14thth minute of the game Manuel Rios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ailigandí's Hector Castillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leonidas Carrillo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soná F.C.'s protests and gave Leonidas Carrillo a yellow card for diving instead. Ailigandí made a substitution. Ricardo Villalaz replaced Heraclides Ramírez. Rafael Gomez charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Gomez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Gomez hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Alex Peren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Fernández in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Totín Peren during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Villalaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Peren was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the game, Rolando Pimentel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soná F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ailigandí the free kick. After a rather tough play, Soná F.C.'s Rolando Pimentel got a free kick in the 27th minute. Alex Peren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Amaya in the 29th minute of the match. When Rafael Gomez came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ailigandí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Gomez couldn't finish the play. Alex Peren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Quirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Manuel Rios elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Juan Fernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alex Peren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Rafael Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ailigandí's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Gomez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Peren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Ricardo Villalaz made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Juan Fernández was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ailigandí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soná F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Ailigandí getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Juan Fernández hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Alex Moscoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Castillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Ailigandí's Alex Peren threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joe Amaya, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th minute, Ailigandí's Joe Amaya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Ailigandí's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Moscoso came free, but Hector Castillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Soná F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Villalaz came free, but Alex Peren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Quirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Peren having to interfere. Juan Fernández recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Villalaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Peren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Fernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Pimentel might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Castillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolando Pimentel ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Villalaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Peren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Joe Amaya fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alex Peren, passed just outside the right post. Juan Fernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Alex Peren made a huge save. Ricardo Villalaz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Alex Peren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rafael Gomez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Juan Fernández had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joe Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alex Peren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ailigandí were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
