Manuel Rios started the match with the kick off. Manuel Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Rios in the 8th minute of play forced Santa Ana Arriba F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabio Villalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Pimentel in the 10th minute of the match. Rolando Pimentel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hector Escalona hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Rolando Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soná F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Guillermo Brandao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soná F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Brandao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Villalobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Santa Ana Arriba F.C.'s Hector Escalona got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Manuel Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soná F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Villalobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francesco Villarreal kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Rios in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Villalobos saved Santa Ana Arriba F.C. from getting behind. Rolando Pimentel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Fabio Villalobos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Soná F.C. booed when Santa Ana Arriba F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Villarreal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Manuel Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Rios was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rolando Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martín Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Peren having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Villalobos was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manuel Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Villalobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Manuel Rios came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Soná F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Rios couldn't finish the play. Fabio Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Rios in the 86th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Manuel Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soná F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
