After a rather tough play, Nuevo Vigía's Guillermo Smith got a free kick in the 5th minute. Jose Nuñez's late challenge caught a Nuevo Vigía's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Nuñez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Llano De Piedra F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Nuñez to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Jose Posam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Morris skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Mota in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Morris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 minutes, José Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nuevo Vigía and the Llano De Piedra F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Tomás Dely in the 26th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Hector Morris's left hand side. The audience was convinced that Ivan Mota's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Morris was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Nuñez was the one to do the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1-1 became the score in the 85th minute when Felipe Moscoso elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Beto Centella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Felipe Moscoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Henríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Briceño in the 94th minute of play forced Nuevo Vigía's goalkeeper Hector Morris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the game, Jose Posam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Llano De Piedra F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nuevo Vigía the free kick. 97 minutes into the game, one of Llano De Piedra F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Romel Herrera shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 101st minute, Beto Centella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nuevo Vigía fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
