The referee ignored Chilibre F.C.'s protests and gave Eduardo Pinilla a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Pedasi F.C. defense, Mario Arias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giancarlo Aizprua. The Pedasi F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giancarlo Aizprua should have stopped the shot. Juan Arias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando García having to make a save. A collision led to Chilibre F.C. getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eduardo Pinilla hit a great ball. With splendid footwork Mario Zambrano arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 28th minute. When Mario Arias came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Chilibre F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Arias couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Pedasi F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Wilfredo Escobar hit a great ball. Juan Arias struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Orlando García didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedasi F.C.. 39 minutes into the match, Chilibre F.C.'s goalkeeper Orlando García had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Arias. The supporters of Pedasi F.C. booed when Chilibre F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Sobenis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Mario Zambrano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Jose Sobenis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giancarlo Aizprua was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Zambrano made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Mario Zambrano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chilibre F.C.'s Orlando García was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jose Sobenis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giancarlo Aizprua having to interfere. Juan Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Orlando García tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Juan Arias came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Pedasi F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Arias couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Mario Zambrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando García saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Arias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Mario Zambrano made a precise shot to the right of Orlando García. Chilibre F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Jose Sobenis might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giancarlo Aizprua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose Sobenis ran back to his position shaking his head. Juan Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando García having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Juan Arias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando García was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Mario Zambrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Orlando García tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Chilibre F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Pinilla to maneuver through the defense. Orlando García took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Zambrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando García having to interfere. In the 91st minute Mario Zambrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando García saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Chilibre F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pedasi F.C.:s goal. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Pedasi F.C.. Ulpiano García stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Orlando García. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chilibre F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pedasi F.C..
