Hermes Herbruger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Carlos Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, La Tiza F.C.'s Andrés Mora threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Escobar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 21 minutes into the match, C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Andrés Mora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Henríguez. When Matias Mota fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's protests and gave Matias Mota a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of La Tiza F.C. booed when C.A.INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, La Tiza F.C.'s Joe Chavez got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Tiza F.C.'s zone, Felipe Alfaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The wind increased when Joe Chavez made the kick off in the second half. Fernando Ramos came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's Felipe Alfaro. But to his dismay, Felipe Alfaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hermes Herbruger in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernando Ramos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the C.A.INDEPENDIENTE defense, Carlos Escobar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrés Mora. The C.A.INDEPENDIENTE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrés Mora should have stopped the shot. C.A.INDEPENDIENTE made a substitution. Jonathan Bermudez replaced Hermes Herbruger. C.A.INDEPENDIENTE made a substitution. Max Escobar replaced Jose Aizprua. With a little luck, La Tiza F.C.'s Fernando Ramos got control of the ball when Jonathan Bermudez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's Jonathan Bermudez, in the 67th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for C.A.INDEPENDIENTE. C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's Andrés Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Chavez in the 72nd minute of play. Felipe Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Ramos having to interfere. Carlos Escobar hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded C.A.INDEPENDIENTE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Tiza F.C..
