Miguel Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reggie Peren having to interfere. Reggie Peren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Smith in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Davor Suker FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jaime Pinilla hit a great ball. Francesco Villarreal's shot from long distance in the 17th minute was not bad at all, but Davor Suker FC's Reggie Peren knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. José Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Caimitillo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Andrés Barrera came free, but Gilberto Vergara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reggie Peren was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Alexis Smith capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alexis Smith really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 26th minute, Romel Pinilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Davor Suker FC's zone, Francesco Villarreal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reggie Peren came out of the goal and Francesco Villarreal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Caimitillo F.C.'s Alexis Smith dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. With a little luck, Davor Suker FC's Reggie Peren got control of the ball when Miguel Herrera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reggie Peren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejandro De Diego in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Martín Arauz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reggie Peren. That made the score 5-0 in the 39 minute of play. José Tello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Miguel Herrera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reggie Peren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Caimitillo F.C.'s zone, Andrés Barrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Vergara came out of the goal and Andrés Barrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If José Tello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Mora hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, José Tello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilberto Vergara. José Tello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. In the 77th minute, Andrés Barrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reggie Peren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Herrera in the 81st minute of play. Andrés Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Vergara having to interfere. Alexis Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reggie Peren having to interfere. Reggie Peren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Herrera in the 94th minute of play. José Tello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Caimitillo F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
