Orlando Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Orlando Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Peren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Wiliam Arauz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Giancarlo Trejos came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Boquete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giancarlo Trejos couldn't finish the play. If José Escalona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dolega F.C.'s Sergio Alfaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Escalona in the 19th minute of play. Sergio Alfaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Escalona's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. If Orlando Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Arauz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Orlando Peren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boquete's goalkeeper Orlando Peren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Wiliam Arauz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Boquete's zone, Orlando Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Peren came out of the goal and Orlando Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giancarlo Trejos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Peren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Arauz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the game, Wiliam Arauz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Orlando Peren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiliam Arauz was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Heraclides Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Wiliam Arauz lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Orlando Peren. 63 minutes into the game, Fernando Bermudez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dolega F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boquete the free kick. Boquete's José Escalona got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiliam Arauz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Orlando Peren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Vergara, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Orlando Peren stood somewhat misplaced when Orlando Castro came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 73 minute. Sergio Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giancarlo Trejos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 93rd minute, Boquete's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wiliam Arauz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 98 minutes into the match, Dolega F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when José Escalona came free, but Sergio Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Dolega F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Boquete throughout the match.
