Ailigandí's Andres Espino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calito Sobenis in the 25th minute of play. Lorenzo Villalaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Arias in the 26th minute of the match. If Agustin Pérez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Ailigandí's goal looked a bit too open when Calito Sobenis came free, but Andres Espino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Villalaz having to interfere. A collision led to Nata F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gilberto Garcia De Paredes hit a great ball. If Gustavo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Andres Espino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calito Sobenis might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Espino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calito Sobenis ran back to his position shaking his head. After 85 played minutes Ailigandí got a freekick which was hit by Jose Morales. Agustin Pérez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Villalaz made a huge save.
