Lorenzo Villalaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Isla Caña F.C.'s Marcos Gómez got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Gilberto Garcia De Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nata F.C. and the Isla Caña F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilberto Garcia De Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Sergio Peren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calito Sobenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calito Sobenis to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Isla Caña F.C.'s Marcos Gómez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lorenzo Villalaz. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. Sergio Peren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calito Sobenis in the 57th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Azael Lozano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Nata F.C.'s zone, Marcos Gómez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Villalaz came out of the goal and Marcos Gómez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Azael Lozano got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Isla Caña F.C. booed when Nata F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Totin Castilleros short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Lorenzo Villalaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Isla Caña F.C. played a much better game than Nata F.C. and deserved their victory. The Nata F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
