Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Guillermo Herbruger came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Escobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Herbruger couldn't finish the play. After having played for 8 minutes, Guillermo Herbruger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escobal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Herbruger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Arias in the 10th minute of play. Juan Valdez struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Andres Espino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escobal. Elias Arias's late challenge caught a Escobal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Arias helped the player get up and apologised. Elias Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Pablo Gil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Espino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Valdez in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Espino saved Ailigandí from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Edgardo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Espino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Valdez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Escobal's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Arias came free, but Rafael Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Ailigandí's Agustin Pérez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rafael Tello. Rafael Tello yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 26th match minute, Ailigandí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Escalona to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes Ailigandí got a freekick which was hit by Jose Morales. After 32 minutes Ailigandí's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pablo Gil who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Pablo Gil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andres Espino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 34 minutes into the match, Ailigandí's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Valdez came free, but Andres Espino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Guillermo Herbruger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Espino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Espino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Valdez, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ailigandí's zone, Guillermo Herbruger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Espino came out of the goal and Guillermo Herbruger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Arias to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Guillermo Herbruger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guillermo Herbruger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Andres Espino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Herbruger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Andres Espino made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Escobal's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Pérez came free, but Rafael Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Herbruger got free with Andres Espino in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexis Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Escobal's Emiliano De Leon suffered a sore thigh after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 75 minutes into the game, Edgardo Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ailigandí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escobal the free kick. The supporters of Escobal booed when Ailigandí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ailigandí's Andres Espino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Ailigandí from getting a goal against them. Agustin Pérez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Tello having to interfere. In the 91st minute Agustin Pérez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Escobal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
