After a defensive mix-up in Cañazas's zone, Calito Centella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramón Trejos came out of the goal and Calito Centella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 played minutes Mata Del Nance F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Martín De Diego. The supporters of Cañazas booed when Mata Del Nance F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Fernández didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Ramon Morales managed to avoid a goal in the 49thth minute, when Cañazas's Reggie Mendoza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Cañazas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mata Del Nance F.C. were winning 1-2.

Reggie Mendoza ran back to his position shaking his head.
