Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) Alexis Herrera started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Rolando Lao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrés Henríguez. Chiriquí Grande's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolando Lao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andrés Henríguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Diaz in the 10th minute of the match. Las Minas's Ulpiano Diaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Las Minas from getting a goal against them. Matias Palma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulpiano Diaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Matias Palma slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. Chiriquí Grande's Rigoberto Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Palma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulpiano Diaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Matias Palma slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 22nd minute. Ulpiano Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Palma in the 29th minute of play. Matias Palma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulpiano Diaz having to make a save. If Rigoberto Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Ulpiano Diaz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Matias Palma in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a little luck, Las Minas's Ulpiano Diaz got control of the ball when Rigoberto Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Joe Valdez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulpiano Diaz. That made the score 4-1 in the 44 minute of play.

After having played for 51 minutes, Matias Palma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiriquí Grande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Palma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Rigoberto Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chiriquí Grande's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulpiano Diaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulpiano Diaz came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Chiriquí Grande's Rigoberto Castro. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Rigoberto Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ulpiano Diaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulpiano Diaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Palma in the 60th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Alexis Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chiriquí Grande's Ramón Jaen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulpiano Diaz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 66 minutes of play, Chiriquí Grande's Rigoberto Castro made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulpiano Diaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Castro in the 70th minute of play forced Las Minas's goalkeeper Ulpiano Diaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Las Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Castro came free, but Ulpiano Diaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Las Minas's zone, Matias Palma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulpiano Diaz came out of the goal and Matias Palma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Castro in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulpiano Diaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Chiriquí Grande players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
