Emiliano González succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 22nd playminute. 30 minutes into the match, Canoa's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Castro came free, but Eloy Sánchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Castro in the 39th minute of play. Felipe Aizprua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matias Palma might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Sánchez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matias Palma ran back to his position shaking his head. If Matias Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felipe Aizprua made a kick off. Rigoberto Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Sánchez having to interfere. Rigoberto Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eloy Sánchez having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Felipe Aizprua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano González in the 87th minute of play forced Chiriquí Grande's goalkeeper Andrés Henríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrés Henríguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Aizprua in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Felipe Aizprua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chiriquí Grande's Andrés Henríguez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felipe Aizprua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Henríguez having to interfere.
