Guillermo De Paredes took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moisés Mota. Moisés Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Toto Posam made a precise shot to the right of Moisés Mota. Dep.Ancon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dep.Ancon's Moisés Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo De Paredes in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Dep.Ancon booed when Río Hato F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes, Dep.Ancon's Hector Ramírez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hector Espino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dep.Ancon reached it. When Pedro Carrillo fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Río Hato F.C.'s protests and gave Pedro Carrillo a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Carrillo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Hector Ramírez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Espino skillfully saved the ball. When Río Hato F.C.'s Guillermo De Paredes in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dep.Ancon's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Toto Posam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Río Hato F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Toto Posam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Arauz in the 33rd minute of play forced Río Hato F.C.'s goalkeeper Hector Espino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Max Diaz didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-2 via right post in the game's 36th minute. Dep.Ancon's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! A collision led to Río Hato F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Totin Mendoza hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Wiliam Arauz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toto Posam was the one to do the kick off. Río Hato F.C.'s Guillermo De Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 52 played minutes Dep.Ancon got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Osorio. If Guillermo De Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hector Espino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 58 minutes, Guillermo De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Río Hato F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo De Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo De Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Mota having to interfere. Moisés Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toto Posam, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Manuel Cedeño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dep.Ancon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Río Hato F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Dep.Ancon getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Manuel Cedeño hit a great ball. Hector Espino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Diaz in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Arauz in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Espino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Río Hato F.C. getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Andres Navarro hit a great ball. Hector Ramírez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Espino. Río Hato F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Dep.Ancon's Moisés Mota got control of the ball when Guillermo De Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guillermo De Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Mota having to interfere. Toto Posam struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Moisés Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Río Hato F.C.. Max Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
