In a very dangerous position, a player in Revolution S.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! Victor Tello shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Hector Villalaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgardo Carrillo went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Revolution S.C.'s Edgardo Carrillo got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Zambrano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chilibre F.C.'s goalkeeper Hector Villalaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Leonidas Arauz fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Revolution S.C.'s protests and gave Leonidas Arauz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Leonidas Arauz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Chilibre F.C. booed when Revolution S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Zambrano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyryl Rasialdo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giancarlo De Leon's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes Chilibre F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fernando González. Edgardo Carrillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Villalaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Hector Villalaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Carrillo in the 42nd minute of play. If David Zambrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Tello made a kick off. Edgardo Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hector Villalaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Edgardo Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Revolution S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Carrillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th play minute Christian Quiros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hector Villalaz. 0-2. 64 minutes into the match, Chilibre F.C.'s goalkeeper Hector Villalaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Carrillo. The supporters of Revolution S.C. booed when Chilibre F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heraclides Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Carrillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heraclides Ramirez kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Edgardo Carrillo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Revolution S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Carrillo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Tello in the 89th minute of play forced Revolution S.C.'s goalkeeper Cyryl Rasialdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Edgardo Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Revolution S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Carrillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Zambrano might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Villalaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Zambrano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute, Giancarlo Pimentel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match was over Revolution S.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chilibre F.C. throughout the match.
