A very good chance. Emiliano Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monchi Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Edgardo Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giancarlo Vergara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Juan Posam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giancarlo Vergara having to interfere. La Mitra's Sebastián Peralta got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, La Mitra's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Tijero came free, but Giancarlo Vergara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes La Mitra got a freekick which was hit by Javier Gomez. Edgardo Castro struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Giancarlo Vergara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiriqui Futbol Club. After having played for 42 minutes, Alexander Tijero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiriqui Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Tijero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, La Mitra's Monchi Escobar got a free kick in the 45th minute. Max De Leon kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Giancarlo Vergara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Tijero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giancarlo Vergara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander Tijero went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Sebastián Peralta made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Chiriqui Futbol Club booed when La Mitra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max De Leon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Peralta in the 85th minute of play forced Chiriqui Futbol Club's goalkeeper Emiliano Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Alexander Tijero elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Giancarlo Vergara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgardo Castro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 95 minute of play. When the match was over Chiriqui Futbol Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Mitra throughout the match.
