Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) Jaime Barrera started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Agustin De Paredes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. La Mitra's Luis Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Carrillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toto Ortega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Carrillo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 18 played minutes La Mitra got a freekick which was hit by Calito Toledano. The long shot by Agustin De Paredes in the 19th minute really tested Toto Ortega's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Victor Ortega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Isla Iguana's Mario Carrillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toto Ortega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toto Ortega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Ortega in the 33rd minute of play. Toto Ortega made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Mario Carrillo sent off a good shot on target. Mario Carrillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toto Ortega having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luchito Benavides in the 45th minute of play forced Isla Iguana's goalkeeper Juan Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Murillo's late challenge caught a La Mitra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Murillo helped the player get up and apologised. Victor Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. La Mitra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hector Peren in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Luchito Benavides managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mitra's supporters rose to their feet, but Luchito Benavides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Victor Ortega made the kick off in the second half. Luis Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Luis Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toto Ortega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Carrillo in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of La Mitra booed when Isla Iguana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Tijero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, La Mitra's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Ortega came free, but Toto Ortega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toto Ortega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Carrillo in the 81st minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Mario Carrillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Toto Ortega was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to La Mitra getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Joe Moreno hit a great ball. If Mario Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toto Ortega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Benavides in the 104th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Isla Iguana had won after a very even match.
