La Mitra's Toto Ortega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Castillero in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Cerro Cama F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Benavides to maneuver through the defense. Azael Mendieta's late challenge caught a La Mitra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Azael Mendieta helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Cerro Cama F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Azael Mendieta. Cerro Cama F.C.'s Sebastián Valdez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Barrera in the 11th minute of play. Jaime Barrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Sebastián Valdez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toto Ortega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Castillero, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Jaime Barrera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerro Cama F.C.'s Sebastián Valdez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of La Mitra booed when Cerro Cama F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Mendieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Juan Urane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermes Trejos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of La Mitra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerro Cama F.C.:s goal. If Hermes Trejos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toto Ortega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Castillero in the 45th minute of play. Toto Ortega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermes Trejos in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Barrera was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Cerro Cama F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Jaen. Cerro Cama F.C.'s Sebastián Valdez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Peren in the 53rd minute of play. If Hermes Trejos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Jaime Barrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mitra's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Barrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Valdez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La Mitra's Luchito Benavides got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andres Castillero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastián Valdez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luchito Benavides in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Barrera in the 78th minute of play forced Cerro Cama F.C.'s goalkeeper Sebastián Valdez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reggie Barrera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebastián Valdez. Cerro Cama F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hermes Trejos struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Toto Ortega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerro Cama F.C.. Hermes Trejos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, La Mitra's Toto Ortega got control of the ball when Hermes Trejos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The La Mitra supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cerro Cama F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Cerro Cama F.C..
