Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Sasardi F.C. booed when Chimán F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Carrillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ricardo Garcia De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimán F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Garcia De Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience was convinced that Américo Herbruger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Zambrano was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Chimán F.C. defense, Andrés Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Quintero. The Chimán F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Quintero should have stopped the shot. Andrés Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 played minutes Chimán F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Gil. After having played for 46 minutes, Tomaso Garcia De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sasardi F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomaso Garcia De Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Chimán F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sasardi F.C. were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Garcia De Paredes to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Sasardi F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Gonzalez. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sasardi F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Zambrano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ricardo Garcia De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot.
