The referee ignored Plaza De Caisán F.C.'s protests and gave David Trejos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, David Trejos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romel Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Felipe Lao made a huge save. In the 15th match minute, Río Duque F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. Andrés Gil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Felipe Lao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrés Gil made a kick off. Jiří Šuba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd match minute, Plaza De Caisán F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Tijero to maneuver through the defense. Jiří Šuba was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Río Duque F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Alejandro Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Plaza De Caisán F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Río Duque F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
