In the 11th minute Giancarlo Morris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calito Diaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romel Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Romel Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Oberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Calito Diaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yeison fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Osorio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Yeison fc's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Osorio came free, but Romel Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calito Diaz came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Yeison fc's Jonathan Briceño. But to his dismay, Jonathan Briceño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Romel Tello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Giancarlo Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nuevo Vigía's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yeison fc the free kick. A collision led to Nuevo Vigía getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Giancarlo Perez hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Antonio Osorio made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Wilfredo Oberto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yeison fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Calito Diaz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Felipe Benavides. Antonio Osorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Romel Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Wilfredo Oberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yeison fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Oberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolás Arauz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, one of Yeison fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a long run with the ball, Milton Quintero did a trick in the 76th minute in front of Yeison fc's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-3. An impressive performance by Nuevo Vigía's Milton Quintero! Giancarlo Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romel Alfaro having to interfere. Antonio Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Antonio Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Yeison fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Briceño to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romel Tello in the 86th minute of play forced Yeison fc's goalkeeper Romel Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romel Alfaro having to interfere. Nuevo Vigía's Romel Tello got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfredo Oberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calito Diaz having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Nuevo Vigía lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
