Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eduardo Ríos got the match started through his kick off. If Eduardo Ríos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Ríos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Heraclides Ulloa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Toto Fernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Pimentel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias De Leon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Eduardo Ríos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Heraclides Ulloa. Eduardo Ríos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 20th minute Elias De Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias De Leon in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Pimentel saved La Cabima from getting behind. Toto Fernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Pimentel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias De Leon's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, La Cabima's goal looked a bit too open when Toto Fernández came free, but Antonio Pimentel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Caño's Elias De Leon got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Totín Lao struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Heraclides Ulloa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cabima. Luis Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Julio Pinilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Caño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cabima the free kick. A collision led to El Caño getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Julio Pinilla hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias De Leon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Elias De Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes La Cabima got a freekick which was hit by Reggie Escalona. Toto Fernández blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Pimentel having to make a save. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Cabima's goalkeeper Antonio Pimentel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Elias De Leon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Pimentel was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st minute Elias De Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, El Caño's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Ríos came free, but Heraclides Ulloa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Pimentel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias De Leon in the 69th minute of the match. A hard shot 73 in the game by Elias De Leon from a close distance when the talented Antonio Pimentel managed to make a qualified save. La Cabima's players were relieved. Miguel Tijero walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 95 minutes into the match, La Cabima's Luis Quintero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heraclides Ulloa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Quintero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heraclides Ulloa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. El Caño's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
