When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Francesco Gómez took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gabriel Garcia to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to EIVION getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gilberto Gil hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Calderón made a kick off. Lucho Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lucho Tijero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Marcos Ríos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Horconcitos getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Pablo Caballero hit a great ball. Gabriel Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Calderón, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Francesco Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. EIVION had played much better football throughout.
