Jonathan Pimentel came out and tried to block the shot, but Heraclides Ramírez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. 13 minutes into the match, Escobal's goal looked a bit too open when Heraclides Ramírez came free, but Jonathan Pimentel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heraclides Ramírez in the 15th minute of play forced Escobal's goalkeeper Jonathan Pimentel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heraclides Ramírez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jonathan Pimentel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Heraclides Ramírez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Escobal got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Sobenis. Escobal's Jonathan Pimentel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heraclides Ramírez in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Treviño in the 38th minute of play forced Pocrí F.C.'s goalkeeper Andrés Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Treviño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Pimentel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heraclides Ramírez in the 44th minute of play forced Escobal's goalkeeper Jonathan Pimentel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrés Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Quintero in the 49th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Treviño made a kick off. After 61 played minutes Pocrí F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sebastián Ramos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Treviño in the 66th minute of play forced Escobal's goalkeeper Jonathan Pimentel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrés Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Treviño, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Juan Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Tijero kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Rolando Murillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Pimentel. Escobal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuel Treviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Pimentel having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Heraclides Ramírez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes Escobal got a freekick which was hit by Ulpiano Jaen. In the 81st minute, Juan Treviño reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andrés Garcia. The goal made the score 1-2. Carlos Pinilla hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Andrés Garcia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ulpiano Jaen. Heraclides Ramírez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Pimentel having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Escobal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
