The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heraclides Gómez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernando Ríos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heraclides Gómez in the 73rd minute of play. Heraclides Gómez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Cedeño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Perez having to interfere. After 80 played minutes El Cortezo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Javier Pinilla. After 81 minutes, Emanuel Peren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mata Del Nance and the El Cortezo F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernando Ríos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Corral, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The El Cortezo F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mata Del Nance's performance. The match ended with a win for Mata Del Nance.
