Felix Mora kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Gilberto Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian García had several of the Colon's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Toto Mota as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience was convinced that Christian García's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toto Mota was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, El Espino De Santa Rosa's Rigoberto Aizprua got a free kick in the 24th minute. With his leg Toto Mota managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when El Espino De Santa Rosa's Gilberto Osorio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th minute, Heraclides Bultrón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Brandao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gustavo Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul González in the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The corner led Colon's Victor Barrera to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustavo Batista despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Toto Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Osorio in the 91st minute of the match. El Espino De Santa Rosa's Gustavo Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul González in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Colon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul González to maneuver through the defense. El Espino De Santa Rosa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
