Raul Gómez started the match with the kick off. If Raul Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th play minute Mario Pinilla came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Ramos. 1-0. Mario Pinilla scored 2-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Llano Marín F.C.'s Mario Pinilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Nuñez came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Isla Iguana's Nicolás Benavides. But to his dismay, Nicolás Benavides quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Llano Marín F.C. booed when Isla Iguana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Pinilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Ramos having to interfere. Raul Gómez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Pedro Ramos made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Mario Pinilla sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Isla Iguana's Pedro Ramos got control of the ball when Mario Pinilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Llano Marín F.C.'s Mario Pinilla got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Gómez in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Ramos saved Isla Iguana from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, Isla Iguana's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Gómez came free, but Pedro Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Isla Iguana's zone, Eloy Bermudez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Ramos came out of the goal and Eloy Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolás Benavides was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Nuñez made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Hector Carranza sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Pinilla , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Mario Pinilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolás Benavides in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 played minutes Isla Iguana got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Paredes. 78 minutes into the match, Raul Gómez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Ramos. Isla Iguana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raul Gómez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 81 minutes into the match, Isla Iguana's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Gómez came free, but Pedro Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rdth minute of the game Raul Gómez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Isla Iguana's Pedro Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Isla Iguana:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Llano Marín F.C.:s goal. With a little luck, Llano Marín F.C.'s Jaime Nuñez got control of the ball when Hector Carranza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Llano Marín F.C.'s Mario Pinilla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. There was no doubt that Llano Marín F.C. were the better team. Llano Marín F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
