After 37 played minutes, Río De Jesús's Calito Briceño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Franklin Carrillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Río De Jesús reached it. In the 39th minute, one of Nuevo Guararé F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nuevo Guararé F.C.. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Calito Briceño put in a rough tackle.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Peren was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Mario Villalobos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Carrillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Marcos Peren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Franklin Carrillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcos Peren hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 73rd match minute, Nuevo Guararé F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Villalobos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s zone, Enrique Valdez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Carrillo came out of the goal and Enrique Valdez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Arias came free, but Franklin Carrillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Corral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Franklin Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Espino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nuevo Guararé F.C.! In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Río De Jesús. Enrique Valdez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Franklin Carrillo. 3-1. Marcos Peren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Rios struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Franklin Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuevo Guararé F.C.. Franklin Carrillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Peren in the 98th minute of play. Marcos Peren kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Río De Jesús's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
