He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Calzada Larga reached it. In the 14th minute, Monchi Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolás Toledano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Pinilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Deportivo Bejuquense's Agustin Morales got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Juan Villalobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rafael Pinilla came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Calzada Larga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Pinilla couldn't finish the play. Reinaldo Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Juan Villalobos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás Toledano having to interfere. If Rafael Pinilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Pinilla made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Juan Villalobos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Deportivo Bejuquense's Nicolás Toledano. Nicolás Toledano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reinaldo Mota's late challenge caught a Calzada Larga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Juan Villalobos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calzada Larga's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Villalobos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolás Toledano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romel Calderón during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Deportivo Bejuquense booed when Calzada Larga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romel Calderón didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, José Bultrón was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Bejuquense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calzada Larga the free kick. The Calzada Larga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Calzada Larga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
