Spectators: 6778 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franklin Ríos started the match with the kick off. Marcos Nuñez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franklin Ríos went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Eduardo Zapata scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexis Henriguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermes Barrera in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin Ríos in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Nuñez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26thth minute of the game Franklin Ríos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gariché's Marcos Nuñez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Franklin Ríos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Gariché getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Felix Pimentel hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Paredes in the 36th minute of play forced Cañazas's goalkeeper Alexis Henriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 49 minutes, Eduardo Zapata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gariché's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Zapata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Eduardo Zapata made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hermes Dely's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Nuñez was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 54 minutes into the game, Felix Pimentel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gariché's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cañazas the free kick. The supporters of Cañazas booed when Gariché was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Barrera kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Cañazas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Fernández to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Cañazas's goalkeeper Alexis Henriguez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Paredes. Enrique Fernández charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Fernández the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Cañazas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Fernández to maneuver through the defense. If Hermes Barrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Eduardo Zapata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexis Henriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franklin Ríos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Zapata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexis Henriguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Alex De Diego was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gariché's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cañazas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gariché's Alex De Diego got a free kick in the 88th minute. When Franklin Ríos came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Cañazas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Ríos couldn't finish the play. Reinaldo Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Alexis Henriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Gariché players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cañazas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
