Franklin Lao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Gilberto Bultrón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiliam Quirós came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Agua Buena's Emiliano Villalobos. But to his dismay, Emiliano Villalobos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Wilfredo García blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Bultrón having to make a save. If Alexis Quintero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, Cermeño's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Quintero came free, but Wiliam Quirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, one of Cermeño:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Monchi Arias hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Wilfredo García received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gilberto Bultrón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cermeño's Heraclides Jaen got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiliano Villalobos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Agua Buena's Jaime García got a free kick in the 44th minute. Heraclides Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gilberto Bultrón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Alexis Quintero made the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Bultrón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heraclides Jaen in the 55th minute of the match. Emiliano Villalobos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Wiliam Quirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiliam Quirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Quintero in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Joe Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Heraclides Jaen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Bultrón was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 72nd minute, Alexis Quintero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raul Carrillo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alexis Quintero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute Alexis Quintero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Quirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Wilfredo García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Bultrón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Emiliano Villalobos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agua Buena's supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Villalobos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Quirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cermeño's Wiliam Quirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Cermeño from getting a goal against them. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
