David Ríos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Pérez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Ivan Pérez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustin Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Guararé F.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Emiliano Arauz hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Guararé F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Pérez came free, but David Ríos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Lucho Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plaza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucho Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pablo Benavides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th play minute Pablo Benavides came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Francesco Gutierrez. 3-1. Emiliano Arauz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Ivan Pérez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Pérez was the one to do the kick off. Francesco Gutierrez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Alfaro's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Plaza:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guararé F.C.:s goal. The referee gave Guararé F.C. a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alberto Ramírez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Plaza's Francesco Gutierrez. 4-1. David Ríos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Pérez in the 71st minute of play. The corner ended in Miguel Calderón almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guararé F.C.'s David Ríos did a great save. 75 minutes in the game, Agustin Smith fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without David Ríos having to interfere. Ivan Pérez struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. David Ríos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
