An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Barrera in the 4th minute of play forced Santa Rita Arriba's goalkeeper Jorge Zambrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Barrera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Zambrano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Jorge Zambrano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton De Paredes in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Milton De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INFERNO F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milton De Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Santa Rita Arriba's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Barrera came free, but Jorge Zambrano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulpiano Ulloa having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Fernando Jaen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INFERNO F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Rita Arriba the free kick. In the 19th minute, Fernando Jaen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Urane hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Juan Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Juan Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Humberto Urane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Zambrano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton De Paredes in the 44th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Milton De Paredes made a kick off. In the 55th minute, David Dely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milton De Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santa Rita Arriba's Nicolás Nuñez got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santa Rita Arriba! In the 71st minute, Fernando Villalaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, INFERNO F.C's Ramon Barrera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Zambrano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Ramón Torrijos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Zambrano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milton De Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Humberto Urane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santa Rita Arriba's Ramon Alfaro got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Santa Rita Arriba manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing INFERNO F.C to win.
