With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Urane in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexis Carranza saved Los Boquerones F.C. from getting behind. Los Boquerones F.C.'s Alexis Carranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Garcia in the 26th minute of play. Los Boquerones F.C.'s Edgardo Garcia De Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alejandro Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Zambrano having to interfere. If Edgardo Garcia De Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Zambrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Zambrano having to interfere. Edgardo Garcia De Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Andres Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Los Boquerones F.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Humberto Carrillo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Los Boquerones F.C. defense, Juan Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexis Carranza. The Los Boquerones F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexis Carranza should have stopped the shot. After 65 minutes, Andres Rios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Rita Arriba and the Los Boquerones F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexis Carranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Garcia in the 74th minute of the match. Alejandro Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jorge Zambrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Los Boquerones F.C.'s Leonidas Ramírez got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lucho Herrera hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Humberto Urane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Rita Arriba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Santa Rita Arriba's Humberto Urane in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
