Luis Henríguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Henríguez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tomás Corral firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 19th minute Rafael Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chigoré F.C.'s Tomás Corral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Chigoré F.C. from getting a goal against them. Jose Posam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gilberto Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luis Henríguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilberto Villarreal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Chigoré F.C.'s Rafael Gonzalez got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Giancarlo Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Posam made a kick off. After 55 played minutes La Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Raul Ortiz. Hector Muñoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Villarreal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Posam in the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Luis Henríguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Concepción's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Henríguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Corral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Villarreal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in La Concepción's zone, Rafael Gonzalez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Villarreal came out of the goal and Rafael Gonzalez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hector Muñoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Romel Villalobos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Concepción's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romel Villalobos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Corral came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by La Concepción's Hector Muñoz. But to his dismay, Hector Muñoz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Chigoré F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
