Jose De Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jose De Leon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celmira's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose De Leon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Mendoza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, TEAM RAPTORS's Cesar Torrijos threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Totín Mendieta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Moisés Gómez scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Mendoza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose De Leon during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Jose De Leon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Torrijos having to interfere. The supporters of TEAM RAPTORS booed when Celmira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Fernández didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jorge Muñoz fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celmira's protests and gave Jorge Muñoz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Jorge Muñoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moisés Gómez struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gabriel Mendoza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celmira. After 42 played minutes TEAM RAPTORS got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Palma. Cesar Torrijos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Totín Mendieta in the 44th minute of the match. Carlos Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Totín Mendieta to make the kick off. If Jose De Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose De Leon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Celmira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 54th minute Jose De Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Mendoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Totín Mendieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Totín Mendieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moisés Gómez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Mendoza having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind TEAM RAPTORS's goalkeeper Gabriel Mendoza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Moisés Gómez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Gabriel Mendoza made a huge save. In the 84th minute Américo Spadafora suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 84 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Fernández was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celmira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TEAM RAPTORS the free kick. A collision led to Celmira getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Wilfredo Fernández hit a great ball. Gabriel Mendoza came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Celmira's Moisés Gómez. But to his dismay, Moisés Gómez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 96 minutes, Moisés Gómez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celmira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Gómez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Celmira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TEAM RAPTORS throughout the match.
