Tomás Corral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Celmira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Chigoré F.C.'s Monchi Fernández got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cesar Torrijos. Calito Agurto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calito Agurto struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Cesar Torrijos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chigoré F.C.. In the 28th minute, Wilfredo Fernández hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Celmira booed when Chigoré F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calito Agurto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celmira's Wilfredo Fernández got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Moisés Gómez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celmira's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Gómez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Corral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesar Torrijos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calito Agurto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Torrijos having to interfere. Francesco Garcia De Paredes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, Chigoré F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrés Muñoz to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Perez made a kick off. A hard shot 56 in the game by Moisés Gómez from a close distance when the talented Tomás Corral managed to make a qualified save. Chigoré F.C.'s players were relieved. Cesar Torrijos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Moisés Gómez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celmira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Gómez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celmira's David Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jose Perez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesar Torrijos having to make a save. When Jose De Leon fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celmira's protests and gave Jose De Leon a yellow card for diving instead. 82 minutes into the match, Chigoré F.C.'s Jose Perez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesar Torrijos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Moisés Gómez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastián Henríguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Calito Agurto notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Celmira's Cesar Torrijos. Cesar Torrijos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chigoré F.C. had won after a very even match.
