Spectators: 6784 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 5) Miguel Paredes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Emiliano Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Gonzalez made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Jaime Dely sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, FC PANAMA's Agustin Villarreal got a free kick in the 7th minute. Miguel Gonzalez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Paredes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Jaime Dely got a very nice opportunity to score, but Miguel Gonzalez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Miguel Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Gonzalez having to interfere. Hector González received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Emiliano Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sebastián Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector González made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector González in the 52nd minute of play forced Veracruz F.C.'s goalkeeper Emiliano Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, FC PANAMA's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Paredes came free, but Miguel Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Fernandez was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Hector González capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hector González really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Gustavo Aizprua came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the FC PANAMA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Aizprua couldn't finish the play. Emiliano Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hector González showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 75 minute of play. Miguel Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Sebastián Gutierrez managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC PANAMA's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastián Gutierrez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC PANAMA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC PANAMA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
