When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Centella made a kick off. Hermes Jaen hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. FC PANAMA's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector González was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Murillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastián Gutierrez struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Elias Murillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC PANAMA. Manuel Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Manuel Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector González fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Murillo having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC PANAMA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
