Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raul Morris took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucho Lozano in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Palma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 5 minutes, Alberto Benavides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metetí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Benavides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucho Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Elias Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Benavides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Palma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Elias Palma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucho Lozano in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Lucho Lozano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metetí's Jose Benavides got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Metetí got a freekick which was hit by Jose Quintero. 20 minutes into the match, Raul Morris notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Metetí's Eduardo Villarreal. Eduardo Villarreal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucho Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Lucho Lozano made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Alex Amaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Briceño hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Lucho Lozano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Metetí's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Morris came free, but Eduardo Villarreal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Metetí's Eduardo Villarreal got control of the ball when Gilberto De Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Metetí's Mario Tijero got a free kick in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Gualaca's Cesar Peren broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Franklin Briceño kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Lucho Lozano struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Elias Palma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metetí. In the 91st minute, Mario Tijero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Villarreal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesar Peren in the 93rd minute. After 93 played minutes Metetí got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Benavides. 95 minutes into the match, Metetí's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto De Paredes came free, but Eduardo Villarreal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
