After having played for 22 minutes, Raul Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Giral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Totín Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Alexander Ramírezs short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Tomás Smith to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexander Ramírez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Smith having to interfere. Leonidas Alfaro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. El Giral's Tomás Smith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Murillo in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Raul Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Totín Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Santiago De Veraguas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Christian Gutierrez. Rolando Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Totín Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gilberto Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Peren hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Raul Fernandez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Totín Garcia. Raul Fernandez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Raul Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raul Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Ramos in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Totín Garcia saved Santiago De Veraguas F.C. from getting behind. If Alexander Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes of play, Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s Gilberto Murillo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Smith was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raul Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Totín Garcia made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Murillo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Smith saved El Giral from getting behind. When Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s Alexander Ramírez in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Giral walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
