Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pablo Valdez got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Darien F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lucho Rios came free, but Jonathan Dely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Quintero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Valdez, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Pablo Valdez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Quintero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match, Franklin Herrera got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emanuel Quintero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sabanitas F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Franklin Herrera scored to the left of an out of position Emanuel Quintero, making the score, 1-0. Gabriel Dely received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Emanuel Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Sabanitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Valdez came free, but Emanuel Quintero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Valdez succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 25th minute, Pablo Valdez made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Quintero. Sabanitas F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Lucho Rios kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Franklin Herrera took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Quintero. Emanuel Quintero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Alejandro Trejos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Dely having to interfere. Lucho Rios might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Dely. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucho Rios ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucho Rios made a kick off. If Lucho Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Franklin Herrera made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Quintero. Sabanitas F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After 66 minutes of play, Darien F.C.'s Franklin Herrera made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Quintero was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 69 played minutes Sabanitas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Henriguez. 72 minutes into the match, Gabriel Dely had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Quintero. Sabanitas F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Dely was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Pablo Valdez's late challenge caught a Sabanitas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pablo Valdez helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Darien F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Valdez. After a rather tough play, Darien F.C.'s Ricardo Urane got a free kick in the 80th minute. Sabanitas F.C.'s Emanuel Quintero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Dely in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Darien F.C.'s zone, Lucho Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Dely came out of the goal and Lucho Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucho Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 minutes, Ricardo Urane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darien F.C. and the Sabanitas F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo Urane kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Darien F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sabanitas F.C. for a fine match.
