But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cheito Perez couldn't finish the play. Cheito Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Fernandez having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Cheito Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nombre De Dios F.C.'s Beto Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Agurto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Pinilla in the 17th minute of the match. Hermes Centella hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Carlos Ramírez fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nombre De Dios F.C.'s protests and gave Carlos Ramírez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Llano Largo booed when Nombre De Dios F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Ramírez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Raul Villarreal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Agurto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Nombre De Dios F.C. booed when Llano Largo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Centella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon González who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Julio Agurto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Victor Pinilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Monchi Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llano Largo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monchi Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beto Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheito Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Pinilla in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Agurto saved Llano Largo from getting behind. After some careless play in the Llano Largo defense, Victor Pinilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Agurto. The Llano Largo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Agurto should have stopped the shot. After 45 minutes, Jaime Treviño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nombre De Dios F.C. and the Llano Largo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Nombre De Dios F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Llano Largo:s goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Monchi Garcia to make the kick off. Victor Pinilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Julio Agurto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Llano Largo's Reinaldo Ortiz got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Franklin Espino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Victor Pinilla made a precise shot to the right of Julio Agurto. Llano Largo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 74 played minutes Nombre De Dios F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Treviño. After a rather tough play, Nombre De Dios F.C.'s Franklin Espino got a free kick in the 76th minute. Julio Agurto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Pinilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Beto Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Llano Largo's Cheito Perez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nombre De Dios F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Llano Largo for a fine match.
