Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) Monchi Garcia made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Heraclides Paredes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Agurto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Julio Agurto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Spadafora in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heraclides Sánchez in the 6th minute of play forced Llano Largo's goalkeeper Julio Agurto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heraclides Sánchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Julio Agurto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Llano Largo's zone, Heraclides Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Agurto came out of the goal and Heraclides Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Llano Largo's Julio Agurto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Spadafora in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Mañanitas got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Moreno. The supporters of Llano Largo booed when Mañanitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Carrillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Osorio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cheito Perez in the 24th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Llano Largo's goal looked a bit too open when Heraclides Sánchez came free, but Julio Agurto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Heraclides Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro De Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheito Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luis Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monchi Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Osorio having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Mañanitas got a freekick which was hit by Pedro De Leon. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heraclides Sánchez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Agurto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hector Pinilla. In the 54th minute, Heraclides Sánchez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mañanitas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 59th minute, Pedro De Leon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Osorio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cheito Perez's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Luis Osorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monchi Garcia in the 73rd minute of the match. Monchi Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Osorio having to interfere. Cheito Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexander Trejos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heraclides Sánchez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Julio Agurto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Heraclides Sánchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Agurto. Llano Largo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heraclides Sánchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Lorenzo Mota came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Mañanitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Mota couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Llano Largo's zone, Heraclides Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Agurto came out of the goal and Heraclides Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heraclides Sánchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Julio Agurto made a huge save. Mañanitas played a much better game than Llano Largo and deserved their victory. The Llano Largo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
