After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Felipe Espino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cirilo Guainora's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Espino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramón Henriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Aizprua took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Briceño. Fernando Briceño dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Martín Gomez kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes, Cirilo Guainora's Wilfredo Briceño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramón Henriguez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cirilo Guainora reached it. After 18 played minutes Cirilo Guainora got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Amaya. The corner ended in Luchito Tello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cirilo Guainora's Fernando Briceño did a great save. The supporters of Dark knights booed when Cirilo Guainora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Briceño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Bultrón, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Fernando Briceño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Aizprua in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jorge Aizprua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Briceño was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Edgardo Bultrón scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Briceño, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 0-3 became the score in the 40th minute when Jorge Aizprua elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Bultrón was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Cirilo Guainora getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Wilfredo Briceño hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Jorge Aizprua took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Fernando Briceño to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Bultrón got free with Fernando Briceño in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Briceño having to interfere. With a little luck, Cirilo Guainora's Fernando Briceño got control of the ball when Edgardo Bultrón tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Felipe Espino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Briceño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Aizprua went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Fabio Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Bultrón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Briceño had great luck who in the 76thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jorge Aizprua from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Eloy Amaya fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cirilo Guainora's protests and gave Eloy Amaya a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cirilo Guainora getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Eloy Amaya hit a great ball. Max Gil's late challenge caught a Dark knights's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Max Gil helped the player get up and apologised. Max Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Edgardo Bultrón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Cirilo Guainora's goalkeeper Fernando Briceño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Bultrón. 84 minutes into the game, Jorge Aizprua recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernando Briceño. Jorge Aizprua showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 93rd minute, Felipe Espino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Dark knights could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cirilo Guainora throughout the match.
