But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Pinilla couldn't finish the play. San Jose United's Beto Zambrano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save San Jose United from getting a goal against them. Alejandro Pinilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beto Zambrano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mario Bultrón. In the 17th match minute, San Jose United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Batista to maneuver through the defense. Alejandro Pinilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moisés De Diego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano De Gracia in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes, Ramón Oberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Jose United and the Club Cipolletti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes San Jose United got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Oberto. Alejandro Pinilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Zambrano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulpiano Zapata in the 37th minute of play forced Club Cipolletti's goalkeeper Moisés De Diego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Zambrano having to interfere. Emanuel Herrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Herrera to make the kick off. Beto Zambrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Herrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 53rd minute of the match Ramón Oberto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ramón Oberto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 53rd minute, Ramón Oberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Emanuel Herrera put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Beto Zambrano. In the 60th minute, Ulpiano Zapata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st match minute, Club Cipolletti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Herrera to maneuver through the defense. Moisés De Diego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulpiano Zapata in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Cipolletti's Alexis Lozano got a free kick in the 69th minute. Juan Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan Ramos hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Jose United's zone, Alejandro Pinilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Zambrano came out of the goal and Alejandro Pinilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, Emanuel Herrera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beto Zambrano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Club Cipolletti booed when San Jose United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alejandro Pinilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Emanuel Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Cipolletti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulpiano Zapata's late challenge caught a Club Cipolletti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulpiano Zapata helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Cipolletti had won after a very even match.
