After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Beto Quirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tauro Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Quirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Monchi Arauz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beto Quiróss short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Monchi Arauz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jaime Orozco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's Luis Oberto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A hard shot 25 in the game by Beto Quirós from a close distance when the talented Monchi Arauz managed to make a qualified save. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's zone, Matias Peralta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Monchi Arauz came out of the goal and Matias Peralta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luchito Herrera kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's zone, Beto Quirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Monchi Arauz came out of the goal and Beto Quirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beto Quirós's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Monchi Arauz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Gustavo Henríguez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Monchi Arauz, passed just outside the right post. Beto Quirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monchi Arauz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Jaime Orozco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Monchi Arauz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gustavo Henríguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Monchi Arauz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monchi Arauz was a little too slow when Matias Peralta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolás Gómez made a kick off. Nicolás Gómez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eloy Pimentel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Quirós in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Monchi Arauz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Romel Briceño almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's Monchi Arauz did a great save. The supporters of Tauro Futbol Club booed when C.A. INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Quintero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tauro Futbol Club's Beto Quirós in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's goalie prevented a goal. Beto Quirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monchi Arauz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beto Quirós went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Monchi Arauz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto Quirós's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Fabio Tijero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play, Tauro Futbol Club's Gustavo Henríguez made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Monchi Arauz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute, Beto Quirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tauro Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Quirós in the 93rd minute of play forced C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Monchi Arauz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Peralta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monchi Arauz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Quirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tauro Futbol Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
