Spectators: 6793 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Reggie Aizprua kicked off to start the match. Río Rita F.C.'s Beto Gomez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reggie Aizprua in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Escalona in the 6th minute of play forced Río Rita F.C.'s goalkeeper Beto Gomez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolás Villalobos might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Valdez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolás Villalobos ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Sánchez kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes, Canaleros F.C.'s Ulpiano Quintero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beto Gomez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canaleros F.C. reached it. When Max Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canaleros F.C.'s protests and gave Max Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, one of Canaleros F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canaleros F.C.. 33 minutes into the match, Río Rita F.C.'s Julio Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Valdez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Jorge Valdez managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Río Rita F.C.'s Julio Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Reggie Aizprua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Canaleros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Toto Henríguez. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A collision led to Canaleros F.C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Toto Henríguez hit a great ball. Jorge Valdez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolás Villalobos in the 65th minute of play. When Reggie Aizprua came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Canaleros F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reggie Aizprua couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Canaleros F.C. booed when Río Rita F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Sánchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Julio Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Río Rita F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Valdez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Río Rita F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Reggie Aizprua 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Reggie Aizprua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute of the match Río Rita F.C. got a corner. Canaleros F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Mora ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Río Rita F.C.'s Giancarlo Toledano to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Valdez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Max Ortiz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolás Villalobos in the 97th minute of play forced Canaleros F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Valdez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Río Rita F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
