The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Smith in the 22nd minute of play forced María Chiquita's goalkeeper Alberto Vergara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rolando Smith's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Vergara was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. A collision led to Bisira F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Eloy Pérez hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Giancarlo Ríos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alberto Vergara, passed just outside the right post. After 40 minutes, Guillermo Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bisira F.C. and the María Chiquita players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Bisira F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Paredes to maneuver through the defense. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giancarlo Ríos to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, David Paredes notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of María Chiquita's Alberto Vergara. Alberto Vergara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the María Chiquita defense, Giancarlo Ríos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Vergara. The María Chiquita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Vergara should have stopped the shot. Giancarlo Ríos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomaso Castillero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rafael Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomaso Castillero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rafael Arias firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alberto Vergara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giancarlo Ríos in the 87th minute of play. Rafael Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luchito Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Arias was a little too slow when Luchito Gomez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 100th minute. The score was now 3-2.
